Wood Anemone 'Blue ' ........ for Fran

Nice! I love these. I've got them for first time this year and I'm so pleased with them such a beautiful blue.

Thank you everyone , I love to see them turn their heads to face the sun as it goes round the garden warming their little faces :o) I have started a white lot it will be some time before they spread like these ....

do they need direct sun, or will they follow the direction the light's coming from, even if indirectly?

These are growing round a cob nut shrub/ tree Fran but because the leaves aren't there yet it means the wood anemones are open to the sky , they do turn to face the sun / light from whichever direction it's coming from, as soon as the nut leaves appear they will be in the shade but by that time they will be almost over anyway ..

oh, thanks. mine would be open to the sky but I don't get that much direct sunlight - wouldn't want to inhibit them unnecessarily!
