Sorry, Pim...
...didn't see the other one until now...otherwise engaged...
Both fantastic photos! And, that blue fur is amazing...
We have little tiny blue butterfies which seem to like fluttering around the dog shot...are they the same?

That's excellent Pimms, as a lad i loved spotting B/flys so much so my dad bought me a big book about them, which to be honest i never read as i was out looking for butterflys.... :-))

Thanks Guys..
They could be Karen but there are two or three possible ones. Could make an interesting Photograph...It is only the natural world in action.
Cheers Surrey. When I were a lad there were just two butterflys...a Red Amirals and Cabbage Whites.. ;)

lol...I was pulled over for questioning by the police taking this photgraph.. It is suspicious behaviour standing in a field photographing flora and fauna...I had to give them the names of several wildflowers and show them all the photographs before they believed that's all I was doing...I made up loads of latin names they were impressed. ;))

LOL....I could really add to this comic scenario, but think it best to just keep mum ;)))

It's true ...I was laughing so much inside it was killing me. There is a picture I took of a broad sweep of the meadow full of clover and a few poppies then there are dozens of wildflowers I know the names of but they wouldn't come to me..I was pointing at an oxeye daisy and saying Verbena bonariensis just because I had been checking the progress of mine at home half an hour earlier. lol

I can picture the scene, with you cast in the role of Bertie Wooster and no Jeeves to bail you out.

Lol, good thing one of the coppers wasn't a closet gardener :0 We'd be holding a 'Free Pimp' rally ;)))))

Lol..
Quite right Leigh..The main police station for the area is near here, I think it is one of the few places you do actually see policemen. Usually pulled up at the side of a road eating supermarket sandwiches.

Here they are notorious for eating donuts!

Great picture. I love these little butterflies. We get them round here....when the weather's right!!!! We live near to farmland so get small butterflies. Whenever I try to take pictures of butterflies they usually fly off.
