That's a great action shot Paul! Love it! I heard an article on R4 that these beauties are in serious decline. I really hope they recover as they are such beautiful birds and one of my favourite visitors to my garden too. As I look out on my newly filled feeders, there are no visitors at all so far today. I wonder how the severe wet affects the birds....it must be really hard for them to find adequate shelter and food in all this rain.....but the aphids are still thriving...grrrr ;)

Super photo Paul :):) One of my favourite birds too Karen. We have a few visit our bird feeding station, they're so fast I'm not sure I could get a shot as good as this one.

Cheers SL - quieter than usual - sparrows are loud this week - no idea why
11 Dec, 2012
how odd? - my rear neighbour has cut down his old willow so most of the birds have moved away for a while.. :-(
11 Dec, 2012
yes mate - not sure what the sparrows are chirping so madly. put meal worms out for our robin to. Shame oabout the willow tree down moving birds away
12 Dec, 2012
