Hang on in there Amy...it will do it's own thing in it's own time! :o)..Remember the pic I posted in July on our wedding Anniversary? it dropped it's last flower a couple of weeks ago...so it won't flower again till same time next year,,or it never has..but new leaves are forming now,so you will have to be PATIENT ! lol..x..I have another which is well on it's way..so I will have something to look at over the winter..shooting up daily,at the moment :o)

Wow that lasted for ages Sandra ! shall I tell you something I keep two orchids on the kitchen window sill ,one of them had a lovely spike of buds on it , I always take them off at night to put the wooden slated blind down , in the morning hubby pulls up the blind and puts them back on the window sill ...at the weekend as usuall I went to spray them and noticed the flowering spike had gone ! it was laying on the top of the pot ... nobody is owning up to breaking it off , and it wasn't me !! :o(

Oh no,Amy !I've just read it to Russell,and he said "There is such a thing as glue ,you know "! Now you can guess who else wouldn't own up either..Devious b.....r:o)I must own up to having knocked a couple of tips off myself over the years..soooo annoying,but it grew from another node lower down..The one growing now is at angle..I just daren't try and tie it to the stake...yet:o)

Sounds as if your Russell is like my Tony Sandra when in a sticky situation Lol tell him I tried sticking it together with Honey goodness knows why I thought it seemed a natural cure ( groan ) I can't believe I did that ! we were at a horticultural quiz last night and I was told the same thing Sandra about it growing from another node so I will leave it to do it's own thing .. :o)

Oh My G.. Sandra now everybody knows how dippy I am LOL , Carole / Sandra you are both too sharp today no wonder you get the giggles when you go out together , Nectar points / honey /feed !! I'm not saying another word I'll only get it in the neck (tar) if I do :o))

That's beautiful Amy, I thought it was an embroidery at first! I can't imagine Tony snapping off the spike....maybe it was CHARLIE! It must have been very disappointing though, like you, I'm not very good with them, or maybe I just haven't got the right spot for that they need....:((

You should know better than tell Carole and I ,Amy :o) although it gives us something to have a laugh about..just keep em coming ! Lol.

Janey clever girl I didn't think about CHARLIE ! it must have been him :o) ( it could have been either of them 'cos Tony's middles name is Charles ) I have 4 different kinds of Orchids Janey I had two on the dining room window ledge and two on the kitchen window ledge I was so fed up with them not doing anything that this summer a took them out to the greenhouse and left them there I only brought them back in when it turned very cold and I felt guilty and that's when they started shooting buds ,I'm going to give them the same treatment next year , they apparently like to be facing North not in the sun . :o)
