Gee I very nearly threw all 4 of mine out this last year I was so fed up with waiting for something to happen , I took them out to the greenhouse in the spring and left them there until this last lot of frost then I started to feel guilty so I went and brought them back in they then all started shooting and flowering , it must have been the excitement of being allowed back in the house ! Thank you TT / Johnjoe this one is very pretty I'm happy it has 3 flowers this year , No I wasn't kidding you Sandra I promise you it's all pure luck on my part LOL ....

They do say a period of cold helps to start them off,Amy,so I'm glad it worked for you :o)xx

My three rescue ones are still flowering , I only wish that I had rescued more , they are pale pink and white with freckles .

Ooh, I am loving this Amy! What a gorgeous pink and the touch of orange is perfect....now where are you keeping them?

On the dining room window sill Janey plenty of light but not any sunlight , I wish I could move that window onto the other wall, we would get the evening sunlight from that direction ,I have mentioned it ' several times ' but it falls on deaf ears LOL ...

I suppose that would be a big job Amy, maybe next summer eh? Our main room is very cottagey, which means dark in the middle of December.....:0((. Well, your orchids are thriving aren't they, so they like it...:))

Thats beautiful Amy love the colour, I just have one which flowered non stop for a year, then the flowers died one by one , I cut it right back [ but cut off a new bud by mistake too] anyway it has now started to send out new roots and I think fingers crossed anothe bud;0)

I hope mine does that well Carole it has 3 flowers on at the moment , my neighbour has bought me a book on Orchid growing I shall have to read it properly , I hope you have another lot of flowers in yours ,it sounds healthy if it's growing new roots :o))

Very nice colour, Amy. Tell me, please, how often do you fertilise it.

I only use Orchid fertiliser in it's growing season Kat approx every two weeks I mix it with rain water , I only let the water run through the pot , in and out very quickly ........

Crikey! You take far more care of your orchids than I do!

I'm trying Meanie I've been ignoring them for so long I think my neighbour was disgusted with me because he brought his old Orchid book round and gave it to me ,when I asked him when he wanted it back he said " I don't want it back I'm giving it to you , I know what to do " LOL...

I love orchids but alas they always die on me:-(( so a big well done to you!
