That's superb! Normally, with the white drumstick, all you see is white...but with the yellow flowers picking out the eyes of the primula florets.....genius terra! :)

I agree with Karen. My white ones were supposed to grow with Doronicium but the Doronicium got too wet!! I am nurturing what is either a bit of it surviving or a weed, it hasn't made it's mind up yet :?)

Thanks Karen ..
Yes, it does highlight the yellow in the drumsticks :o)

P.s. my tulipa Tarda is also finally flowering! normally it is one of the very first heralds of spring....so, I guess it must be spring now!

Lol. Angie ..
I planted a doronicum in my front garden and it wasn't happy at all .. and yet they thrive in my back garden...

Lovely combo,Terra..the Drumsticks have done really well this year, haven't they?
4 May, 2013
Thanks Carole and Sandra ..
The white drumsticks seem hardier than other colours ...
have you found that to be true ?
4 May, 2013
Its difficult for me to compare Terra I only have one of each colour at the moment and both hasve done very well, will divide them later which will give me a better idea;0)

I wonder that sometimes,.Terra,as I have had a lilac, and a Burgundy one for a few years now,and they never put on the same display..still only got two flowers on each, this year...they never seem to get going, never mind being big enough to split...

As usual every thing has been said by the time I get round to viewing the latest pics. Lovely colour combination. You should open your gdn to the public sometimes & charge everyone a fiver to go in! Perhaps you do?
