Aconites First ones January

I'm always excited when I spot these in the garden Chris you know then Spring is on the way !

Oh, I love these Amy ! I used to have these at the other place , but one year they all disappeared and never saw them again !

Funny someone else said the same thing last year Rose what a shame ! these have started seeding in the gravel path next to the bed I'm pleased about that :o)

Absolutely lovely. I have never had any luck growing these but this inspires me to try again!

Thanks Holly , These grow happily in and around the shrubs Penny ,they self seed so each year I have more :o)

Such pretty flowers .....

I love these Amy, but have never grown them; which condition suits them best, my soilis acid, and I can provide shade if needed.

That is perfect David my soil is acid approx 6.5 ph but it does vary round the garden .. they are just as happy in the sun mine have spread into the gravel path next to the shrubs directly in the sun they look lovely on a sunny day when they all open their petals to face the sun .. :o) Let me know if you can't find any I'll save you some seedlings !
