Hywel, is this quite prickly? Mum used to have a Rose similar to this which I was forever snagging myself on .....:o(

A little stunner Hywel such pretty colouring in clusters I planted mine up against a fence years ago to my regret as the little town where I shop has a bed full of these all cascading over in different directions like a fountain .

I have this one Hywel and I love it! Would you believe I bought it in Willow Cottage and it has moved with me and still doing well!

I don't know how prickly it is Shirley, it's new and lots of other plants have grown around it so I can't see the stems.

I looked at it earlier Shirley and it has hardly any thorns at all, but it is rather small and new so will probably develop them later.

Hywel ... when I gardened at Mums she had a bird bath set into the lawn, but it was so close to this Rose on one side that I would have to back up against it to edge the lawn! Pretty as that Rose was, I did curse at it sometimes .... :o)

I think I'll have to move it to a safer out of the way place !
