A winter visit to Wisley

Well it was March actually, but still quite wintry.
We walked past the rockery from the base.
we saw hellebores of various types
we saw a beautiful camellia
and in the glasshouses we found a lovely lithodora
the colour in the alpine house was very impressive
we looked down on the rockery from above
we learnt how the banana trees are being protected
and said goodbye to Wisley beside the waterfull.
The we took refuge in the wonderful shop and bought some souvenirs. I finally got my compost scoop which I have been looking for for a long time! (How sad is that…)
I cant wait to get back there in the spring!

Lovely photos!~ we were down there as well at the end of March for my birthday and loved the Alpine House~ I am hoping to get down next Feb/March too ~
