Old Hobby revisited!

Well I can’t do anything in the garden as the ground is frozen solid so I decided to break out my paints and have a go at painting, something I dabble in from time to time. I like to paint even though I’m no good at it, its a good way to keep my mind off the fact I can’t garden! Here are the results of my endeavours!
P.S Don’t laugh – its unkind!!!!
I know- don’t give up the day job, don’t worry I won’t! Still at least the sun has shown its face even if it was fleeting as shown in the pictures below and my tulip and daffs are actually breaking through so there is light at the end of the tunnel.
P.S Have also discovered how amazingly difficult it is to paint with a cat on your knee who will not be ignored!

Lovely paintings and lovely photos.
You did well not to paint the cat!
Once I get over this difficult period in my life, painting is something I plan on trying.

They are lovely red aly. I like the rose hips and the landscape. They are very delicate.
(I paint portraits professionally)

I love the way you've captured the light on the "one below the cat"! Keep dabbling - the more you dabble, the better you'll get.

Yes, try it, Geraniumdad: it's therapeutic - hope it will help you.

They're great. It's nice to have different hobbies :o) I know what it's like to have a cat that won't be ignored. I don't know why she only wants to come on my lap if I'm doing something else ......

It kept me occupied Sticki, will be glad when I can get back outside though! My cat must be bored too, she keeps following me round everywhere and when I sit down she jumps on my knee. :-)

Thanks for the comment Lulu, might consider framing that one as its only small and will go well in my dining room- matches the colour scheme! Know what you mean sticki -about it only being relaxing when it goes well but then again that could be said about everything including marriage lol!
