Silver Wedding !

That's a lovely idea, making it more of a special day and the photo's are lovely. Never would laugh at your hat, I think hats should make a comeback, any woman looks good in a hat. I have been watching the 'Miss Fisher's Murder Mystery's' on the TV, set in the 1920's with all the glorious costumes - and HATS!

congratulations on this landmark anniversary. I think renewing vows is a lovely thing to do, though my oH doesn't agree. He said once was enough :o)) [it will be 35 yrs for us in April].

Thanks Honeysuckle! My family and friends loved the hat, but I am not used to wearing them! I do love to see ladies in hats though and love the way they dressed years ago. More feminine than holey jeans ! Hahaa!

Hello Sandra, the vicar was laughing as much as us ! He also came back and had tea and cake with us. I thought putting this on would take our minds off the dreadful weather ! Hope to see you soon at Brigg one day !

Ah Rose what a lovely blog. Congratulations to both of you, looking so happy and with your family all together to share your special day, they say we have to take the rough with the smooth don't they, you both had it rough by the sounds of things and then the smooth, hoping that continues for many a year to come...I wouldn't dream of taking the mickey out of your hat, however I think having to wear a school beret all those years back and then a mob cap at work for over thirty years put me off for ever, I have a very clean and pristine gardening hat in the cupboard, I know it should be worn but only ever think of it after the sun goes down, that of course is on the rare occasion that it is actually needed. lol..
