today i got to work with my cactus collection…im realy pleased just how many have come through the winter. some of you know i seem to have become a bit of a cacti rescue home….some arrive in amazing condition, some dont.. i never sell the ones i am given but i do take cuttings and divsions to sell. some of the older ones go brown and scabby at the bases and some get over watered and their roots rot. so today was the day i was going to do some maintenance…..
this is an opuntia cylindrica that lost a big stem in the winter.
regrowth where it snapped
regrowth on the stem cut up into sections
it amazing watching it.
this is one that arrived propped up with sticks and needs a serious make over…its never easy doing it, bit it usualy results in a new smaller but healthier plant and a few cuttings. i didnt get around to this one today, but i did do this one…
mammillaria saetgera
i am amazed at its colour …..usually they have been green or white…it had faded and dried throught the day and hopefully in a few months it will throw a few pups…
around the grow shed the flower buds are starting to appear.
wont be long before they are open..
aeonium enjoying the sunshine..
kids all helping with the new glamping site..
the tomatoes are growing well
hope you all enjoying the sunshine…happy gardening..Sandra..:-)

All looking good Sandra! :-)
I took some cuttings from my Rebutia muscula last year and they are all flowering now, but unfortunately, they don't stand upright and rock about all over the place! Do you think I should repot them a bit deeper and is now a good time to do that?
