recent windy weather caused much stress and worry about our plants and camping area but the up shot is that lots of lovely rubbish was washed up in the beach….
lots of what we find lies around for months or more like years before it gets used ….but this week spurred on by the lovely weather we now have a hammock for us and our happy campers to use and 2 more of my agaves have been potted into great big pots other wise known as fish boxes…
absolutely loving this cant believe it turned out sooo well
we didn’t steal this box…honest gov….found it on the beach….lol
hoping they enjoy their new pots and their new space…:-)
just added this one to prove im not the only beach combing recycler around….but i am related to these guys…..this is on pendine beach if your passing….

I love them too Hywel...
2 of them came in the collection off Mr Ashton a few years ago...this is the second pot on i just love being able to give them some new root space and these fish boxes are just perfect..
the bottom pic is a sort of community project...the tree was washed high and dry weeks ago and my brother says every time he goes to the beach someone has added something...lol

We never get anything as wonderful as that in the bay, I love the hammock. I have found the odd bouy on the shore line. A gunnera root that was being swapped for some of my verbena bon's turned up in a fish box, but it wasn't really a big enough container, it split the box. Liove your Agave's too. Do you need to protect them over winter?

I can see what u mean Diane... it is a work of art which we find thought provoking. it has lots of people stopping by, taking pictures and adding bits as the tide washes more supplies. and eveybody has their own opinion of it whether good or bad. it would win for sure..:-)
