today in the brilliant sunshine the trees were glowing in all their winter glory. i had the use of my daughters camera and had fun…
1st i’ll show you around my space. with all the leaves down i love to see the wood for the trees…
the ash ans the willow are enjoying the sunshine in my garden
then we went for a drive to the other side of the valley where there is a lovely old church. now sadly closed to the public due to health and saftey…
this is from the other side of the valley. thought it would make a change to see corsesdie from the other side…
then it was off to stackpole woods..
this is in the middle of the woods…its an old victorian estate and this is one of the folleys to be found dotted around.
along the board walk which takes us over a very muddy bit.
this one is my favorite not sure what the stone is though.
back home again and a shot of the church i showd you earlier in the distance. followed by an ever changing sunset….
sorry there are soo many pics but with this camera i couldn’t help myself…:-)

MMMM - lovely! I love sunsets, and those ivy-covered stone relics are amazing. Lovely little church too - shame it's closed. Any plans to resurrect it for tourist interest, or is it destines to become another ivy-covered relic?

thanks Linda.
me too Drc just perfect for a walk in the woods.
Naris its only just closed. we have soo many little churches dotted around they cant afford to keep them all open.
Snoop its a folly which is a building constructed primarily for decoration. there are a few of them dotted around the woods only this one with this stone though. its my favorite one.

Love that wrought iron on the church gate, with the hands.

Its always good to take a walk with you Sandra, even more so with a lovely blue sky to set off your smashing photo`s, its always sad to see an old church allowed to go to ruin but as you say there are so many and its always a cost to keep them up and running, I love the follies but I bet they appear quite spooky at times in the woods like that.
Gorgeous sunsets to end with, very grey and foggy here today, best place is indoors, lol..
Have a Great Christmas Sandra and I hope Santa is good to you all, Sue xx....

love Pembrokeshire, magic memories when we stayed on the cliffs in Caerfai Bay. A pal has just moved from North Wales down to South Wales so looking forward to a Spring visit next year.
Great set of photos Sandra & I always think the square towers are Norman Churches from what I read years ago. That is a delightful church, our local church has now been taken under the wing of the 'Redundant Church Group'
1000 year old buildings should be looked after but understandable at huge expense but what history eh?

i'm no church goer Bampy but i do love to walk around them. so much to see from the out side with the windows and towers, but its even better to go inside and see the rest of it. well done the RCG for saving your local.:-)

Know what you mean Sandra....the trouble is it takes ages to download them all onto a blog. They are really lovely photos. That evening sky is beautiful.
