addiction gone mad!!

So it happened again….i have been actively re-homing my collection of cactus when I get another of those phone calls….

Hello I hear you re-home cactus….How could I resist my addiction took over!!!

The lady has moved and the new owners want the EIGHT FOOT cactus removed.

So off i go armed with gauntlets and a sheet of corrugated plastic, all goes well till we realise my van is only 7 foot long…well we put it in at an angle wedged it in place and hoped for the best.

but hears the thing…where the heck was I going to put it? all the way home I debated cutting it and trying to root the top, but it was too amazing to cut. but really where was I going to put it!!!

7 miles later I was home just the bumpy lane to contend with…it was a bump too far and it snapped.. on the bright side it was a clean break with a good chance of rooting, and it was pretty much in the middle.

It has no label. and I have no idea what it is any ideas?

the kids all think its amazing!

That's one problem solved anyway - now to rehome the two halves... I think its is a night blooming cereus of some sort. Ask Hywel

I was also going to suggest Hywel, Sandra what are you like, you've only just recently been getting rid of some because of space issues and you prefer the friendlier to fingers less prickly ones, now you have two back again, in a sense its good that its been curbed for a few years, imagine the pain if one that size toppled onto you....
