My gardening year 2012 with a big thank you to Gee.

I was inspired to add words to my photos after Gee explained in yesterdays blog how to use Powerpoint to do that.
I thought as the year ends I would look back on what I remember as a not too good year weatherwise. The garden was a great solace in good times and bad. I thought I would share it with you. Some of these plants flower for a few months but I don’t think I have shown them before.
When the snow disappears the garden springs in to life.
The pampas grass always lags behind those I see in other gardens.
The brave Kaffir lilies are often knocked down by the frost and I think they have gone over but they spring up again to surprise me.
Happy Christmas everyone and best wishes for a happy, healthy new year in 2013.

Well done, Scotsgran, you have almost made your own calendar there :) September is lovely, such a beautiful colour. It's nice to look back but also to think what we have to come in the Spring/summer too. Here's wishing you a lovely Christmas and fingers crossed for a better summer next year.
