Getting ready for April part 5

Well the enjoyable part has started: plantings pots of bulbs and various other plants. Though I will have to keep an eye out for self sown seeds.
Front border next to the house has had lots of tulips planted as well as Primula Gold Lace.
I bought 18 plants yesterday from the ’Plant man in the A164 layby] for £30 as well as a tub with Hellebore, fern, candytuft , 2 primula and a hyacinth all for £10.
5 Bellis daisies and 5 Ranunculus asiatica are now in a tub on the front path and if I continue to dead head I hope they will still be in flower for the wedding.
General view of the bed taken last week. The black tubs have had red tulips added today and I will see how they go and if needs be I will pop back to the Plant Man.
I also popped later flowering daffs in, as well as the border at the other side of the garden. They are meant to be bridal crown but I am not convinced.
Other flowers that are bringing me joy are the Corydalis solida. Beth Evans and George Baker.

A week earlier this Eremurus was only 2 " tall, it is now 7" tall. It will have a lovely white flower standing over 5ft tall.
Enough from me now. Off to make tea. It feels odd as the clock says 4.30 but my tummy is not interested as it thinks it is 3.30!

Now everything is taking shape Sbg!! Your container looks really beautiful. Bridal Crown are very tall aren’t they and have such a lovely scent. Your garden is going to be a picture to behold!!

Beautiful flowers, SBG,. I'm sure your Daises will still be in bloom for the big day! The tulips most probably will come through for you as well!
Try to relax a little & calm down from all your anxious work, you need to conserve your energy or you will be burn out before the big day arrives.

All looking good ahead of time.

Thanks for the lovely comments, I don't feel too excited nor too anxious really. It is what it is. It is just very different to Elizabeth & Matthews wedding which was in an ex wool mill in Halifax. I had absolutely nothing to do except turn up in a nice dress. That really did feel surreal.
Victoria is also chilled and everything apart from the weather is ordered/in place. Her venue is very efficient too and keep us informed about all the people involved.
So prayer mats out everybody for Sunshine April 27th.

Looking lovely Sbg, your hard work is really paying off and it will be gorgeous on the day, and I have my prayer mat out for you on 27th. I am the same with the clocks going forward, enjoy your tea.

I hope the sun shines on your lovely flower displays on your daughter's wedding day. Thought your Eremurus was an onion at first, then it sprouted!

It is going to look amazing Seaburn and so colourful, according to the long range forecast it's predicted to be better for us from mid April onwards I'm certainly willing it to be perfect on the day....

You would be surprised how often I think about you! You have worked so hard. Not long now, hope you all have a wonderful day and that the garden really struts its stuff!

Can I just say all your comments are why I love this site so much. I am really touched how many of you have followed my girl's journeys from 2009 when I joined. Having both girls grown up and married [almost 4 weeks tomorrow!] is what I have worked for.

I`m sure that your garden will sing out on the 27th and your family will have a wonderful day, will keep fingers crossed for perfect weather.

I totally agree Seaburn, we have watched children, grandchildren, even greatgrandchildren appearing in some cases over the years, never meet them but always a feeling that one actually knows them....
