Thanks Sue. I'm told the Enkianthus is not very common: mine's in a pot of ericaceous compost because they're only happy in acid soil . . . apparently!

Fall is my second favourite season for colours, Sheila. I like spring the most. You have plenty of fall colour interest in your garden and good year for apples I can see. Love the grass, Makes me want to run my hand through it.

Thanks Klahanie . . . I'm not sure what variety the grass is, maybe one of the Miscanthus??

Lovely red colours, pity it heralds the onset of winter.

You have some lovely autumn colours there Sheila, your Kojo no mai is far more colourful than mine, being still green! Love your apple tree...so many apples this year....it's been a good fruit year hasn't it? Beautiful Liquidambar...if only I had more room.....

Thank you Siris - yes indeed.
Thanks Janey - no idea why my garden is turning so early. Yes, a very good year for fruit.
Thank you Dawn . . . Cornus are gorgeous, aren't they, except that mine has never had bracts!
Absolutely, Gertrude - thanks :)

Truly lovely, rich colours on some very attractive plants. I love your Michaelmas Daisies and the photo of the Cornus is a winner!!

Lovely Autumnal colours Sheila ... I bought a very small Libertia at the village open garden day ... it really hasn't grown much since. Any idea why?

Shirley - was it a 'golden' one? They grow incredibly slowly, whereas the 'green' variety are quicker!
29 Sep, 2015
Yes Sheila, it is a L. peregrinans, orangey/copper colour. I shall watch it slowly grow!

They are lovely plants :))

Certainly are ...

Janey . . . I forgot to mention that you could well have room for a Liquidambar. I used to think they they'd be way too big for our garden, but this one is only about 3' high after five years!

Now that would just do in my garden Sheila!

There you go . . . :)

Wonderful colours there Sheila - the pic of the cornus is brilliant and so's the Ekianthus - never seen one of those.
Off down the garden now to tell my Kojo-no-mai what it ought to be doing...
