Sunny but cold April day

This is the view from the bench in the corner where I ‘talk’ to Steve :)
My Great White Cherry (Prunus Tai Haku) which had been fleeced against the frost – hope it survives tonight!
Heuchera ‘Cherry Cola’ bought this afternoon at my favourite small, local GC
Amelanchier which has survived the frost so far without being fleeced.
Ipheion
Prunus cerasifera, somewhat more junior than Klahanie’s inspiring Plum Cherry :)
Ornamental grasses in stones
I bought the Heuchera today – starting to fill the spaces where I dug out about 30 Anthriscus Ravenswing mature plants as well as seedlings yesterday … who knew that it was a thug?! It was lovely last year, but now had spread unbelievably, and was choking other plants.
Happy because had a hair cut yesterday and a pedicure today … normality beckons!

Thank you Eileen, Julia and Fabrice.
Hope you are having good weather in Kynance Cove Fabrice, or do you have the log fire going?!

Thank you Paul. When we moved in three years ago we started from scratch and were lucky to find an imaginative designer.

Sheila, you do have a very well designed garden. The Heuchera is a pretty one, sadly I have lost many over the years, the dark ones don't seem to thrive in my garden. Well done on having a hair cut and a pedicure. I hope to have a haircut next week - hurrah!

Such a pretty garden and welcome Spring plants. I love your amelanchier. I am also very envious of your haircut - I have to keep mine tied back until the end of the month..

Very pristine, Sheila. That’s a lovely, peaceful area of the garden where you can have a chat with Steve...
You’ve lots of pretty spring blooms still looking fresh too.
I’m pleased your amelanchier has survived the recent frosts..it’s such a pretty one.
The heuchera is a lovely colour too with such a cute name.
I’m envious you’ve had some pampering...hair and feet! Lovely. I’ve another two weeks to wait!!! Never mind, it could be worse!

Such a lovely time of year when the spring blossom returns to the trees and there is warmth in the sunshine. What a beautiful place for you to sit.
Amelanchier is a favourite in our garden too. The nights are still cold but the days have been gorgeous.
Only moan is it is still 10 days until my hair cut!!!

Thank you for your kind comments Kate and Chris. Yes, it’s great to feel normal again 🙂. Not too long now for you both to be pampered!

A lovely tidy garden Sb. I too love the pretty Heuchera. I hope it thrives for you. The dark ones seem to survive better for me. That is a nice corner to sit in & talk with Steve.(can't believe 3 years have passed).
Frosty nights here, & sunny days. Things seem to be growing at last, tho' very slowly.
