May I tell you a story?

As with any long-married couple (55 years this year) we have our moments. But I had to smile yesterday …
A few days ago I had a text to say that my delivery would arrive between 17.45 and 19.45 and I was 110 on the list. I immediately thought ‘oh, that poor driver, over a hundred deliveries to make in a day!’ It came safely.
As I’m slightly unwell at the moment, OH is doing most of the shopping. I was keen to buy the May “Gardens Illustrated” to read the Chelsea coverage, but although it was due out on the 28th April I’d been unable to find it. Then yesterday I had a text from OH saying Your delivery of GI (May) will arrive between 15.45 and 17.45 and you are always 1st on my list. Awww 🙂.

That brought a smile! I hope you improve soon, Sheila. I often think of the poor delivery drivers, too. Such a long day for so many of them.

Sheila, you have cheered me up no end with your story. I'm not feeling 100% at the moment either and have been banned fom doing any gardening ... :o((
Get well soon and tell your OH he's a diamond!

Thank you Shirley - enjoy the enforced rest. I did nothing this afternoon except a few puzzles and then read a book in my comfy chair in the greenhouse!
Many thanks Julia and Klahanie. x

Lovely to hear. Sheila. A really cheering blog! Love your vase of pretty pink blooms.
I'm sorry to hear you are poorly at the moment. Feet up and relax. Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend and get well soon. x

Aw Sheila, that's just lovely. It made me smile too. I hope you're not too poorly and are doing absolutely nothing at all bar reading your new edition of Gardens Illustrated. Take care Sheila, thinking of you x

Such a lovely story which must have made you smile!!
I do hope you will feel better soon.
Quite a few people have been 'off colour' recently. I hope that a few days of warm sunshine will help everyone who isn't feeling too good - just hope those days will hurry up and get here soon!

Janey, thanks so much. Yes, I’m doing a lot of nothing and enjoying the mag. On one page there are choices by Sarah Raven including Salvia Cerro Posti which you and I have and love! Hope you’re doing ok. x
Chris, thank you very much .., I’m still smiling 🙂. Yes, we all need more sunshine and warmth. The garden definitely needs today’s rain, but it’s a shame for those preparing for some big event in London …
