It was wet and gloomy this mornng, but then the sun came out … a little brightness can be a big help at this time of year!

You've some smashing autumn shades there, Sheila. Love the Acers and I do like your Prunus Tai haku, lovely shaped leaves in soft pinks and greens, very nice!

Bless you Janey, you always have such generous words! Thank you, and I do love the Prunus too, wouldn’t be without it. It was good to see your P. kojo no Mai … my one in a pot has already shed its leaves; I’ll keep an eye on the one in the front bed - they are a favourite.

The colour is till hanging on here, too, although the usual changing autumn hues aren't much in evidence this year. You have lots of flowering still going on, Sheila. Looking good. I, for one, am very happy my garden is dying back. Good excuse to ignore it!

Lovely autumn pics, Sheila. I do find autumnal displays very uplifting, the warm, vivid colours. Plus, we still have some our blooms persisting too!
I love your Cercis. I always thought I'd have one if I'd the space, or if I have to replace something.
I like the cosiness of the season..log fires, blankets and time to start rethinking the Spring Garden.

Lots of lovely colour around Sheila. I wish it would just stop raining for a day so I can go out & enjoy it!

As for November I have seen reported that the UK, France and Ireland might be hit with a “ Bomb Cyclone” in the coming days with 70-100mph wind gusts and torrential rain. I hope that forecast is an error.

Wild weather is certainly forecast, Loosestrife. We’re expecting storm-strength winds overnight tonight, and heavy rain is here already. I’m hoping everyone can keep themselves safe even if their gardens suffer.

Some bad weather is forecast here as well though we are not expecting it to be anything like they are expecting in the SW, SE & London on Thursday. Storm Ciaran hasn't come with any yellow weather warning like Storm Babet did.

Take care everyone.
