Before and after ...

There are times when it really is worth having a professional job done … here is the proof!

We have used a Karcher machine on the block paving over the past years, since 2010 when both back and front gardens were refurbished. The work has just become harder and harder for us, hence the need for a professional job.

They cleared and cleaned all the guttering first, then got down to the mucky work on the ground.

The protective clothing was unmissable! …

One of the team returned this morning to brush in the sand between the block paving and here is the finished patio …

Last week my OH refreshed the wood chairs and table with a coat or two of wood stain. The set is quite old now, but definitely usable when the cushion pads are on the chairs.

His Aunt’s lovely Camellia is flowering right now and there are some Hostas in pots.

Now we just need those warm and sunny days to start appearing, then we can sit out and enjoy the garden.

Looking pristine. I can second that about waiting for the sunny days! I wish I lived closer so you could recommend your chaps to me.

Ange, our new neighbours are having a quote for their front garden and my friend along the road is also interested. You cannot beat personal recommendation for tradesmen.

Klahanie, thank you so much. The Camellia came to us when OH's Aunt passed on, so we have memories of her in the garden now.

what a fantastic job they have done. You deserve to be chuffed with the way your lovely garden looks now.
I think I'd be out there with a lap quilt to keep warm, just so I could enjoy the garden.

Thanks Kate, Eileen and Hywel ... now to decide where all the potted plants are going to live!

Incidentally, yesterday evening at around 9pm a lovely Fox came strolling down the garden path ... seems it wanted to have a look at the finished job!!!

They’ve done a really good job Shirley. It looks fab. I too keep saying roll on the warm weather. I manage to sit out side late pm until sunset. It’s quite warm then, if it’s not windy.

David, it made me feel guilty seeing how much dirt came off!

Josie, there really are never two days the same, sunny today but rain due tomorrow, grrr!

Looks a real treat Shirley, they did a good job for you, shame about the weather, our miserable wet days are back again as well so its gardening in easy stages and admiring through the windows....

Sue, sorry to be late replying, we have been in Dorset for a week and got back today. We were pretty lucky with the weather, hail once when we were back indoors and two afternoons we managed to sit out in the sun ... :o)

Janey, we are so pleased with the work the men did, at a good price too! I cannot believe how much growth the trees, shrubs and perennials have put on in a week ... :o)

Pleased you enjoyed your holiday Shirley. It's always good to get home and check round the garden, ooing and arring at how things have grown.. :))

Janey, that's exactly what I was doing yesterday, and today! Roses have put on so much growth, Geums are in flower, Forget-me-nots are taking over ... lovely!
