'Fudge' the tea towel thief

10 years old and still stealing tea towels, Fudge certainly keeps me on my toes, lol, he’s done this little trick from being a pup, mainly because he knows someone will chase him, and even though hes got athritis you just can’t catch him, the minute I put the towels on the radiator to dry he’s there, here’s the thief in action
Anyone coming to chase me then?
Ooo yes someones coming
You won’t catch me
I’ll just have a roll on it then.
Aaargh another for the wash
So if anyone has any tips on how to stop an old dog doing old tricks, advice welcome, lol.
Fudge has been a bit ill this year, getting used to epilepsy medication, and actually quite missed him stealing tea towels, lovely to see him back to his naughty self :-)

Bless, I think you should buy some more tea towels so it's more fun !!

Oh Kathy, love your blog. You know that I know what life is like with a labrador. We have one of those electric radiators in the kitchen now and Bonnie can't reach the towels but having said that, I have lots of towels and tea towels with the label nibbled off, her speciality. Fudge is lovely and pleased to hear the medication is working for him. Bonnie steals my slippers all the time - well just one, I know where to find the missing one - on her bed.

Looks like he's back on form then San, bet you don't mind one bit now he's feeling better. Lovely dog.

Great to see Fudge upto mischief again he looks highly amused at his own pranks in 5 and 6 and worn out after all the excitement in the last one, bless him!

Certainly is TT,back to his old self:-)
Lol, Grandmage every tea towel I have has Fudge style holes in, he can carry 3 at once:-)
Must be a labrador thing then Dawn, oh yes the slipper trick, does Bonnie pull socks off too?
Thanks Bellflower:-)
Yes Carole looks like he's laughing at me, lol :-)

I don't like this blog -----I LOVE it! :0))
Definitely a Lab.thing ! Fab photo's .

My friends golden retriever does the same, a hole in every tea towel & sock !

Very amusing to see his antics. I'm not really a doggy person as I've usually had cats but labs just seem to have so much character that I think I could easily love them :)
He looks pretty tired out after his tea towel scramble and it is good news that he is adjusting to his epilepsy meds and becoming his normal, mischievous self :)
Loved your blog, Simbad.

Kathy, I know what Paul would say, I blame the parents!!! lol, he is lovely, bless him,(the dog I mean not Paul) well he is lovely sometimes. He is soo like Sarah's dog Ralf who I had last week in half term while they were off on there surprise holiday for Kevins 30th birthday to Las Vegas. I know which I preferred - walking him was much kinder to my nerves than waiting for them to land back safely with a terrorist alert on the same day as they were flying back. oooooer I hardly slept that night.

Could you give him his own teatowel, and put yours to dry somewhere else .... lol. He must have a tea towell :o)
Sorry to hear he's been unwell. I hope the medication is helping.

Ah Bless him, made me laugh! Our SluggyPup nicks my fake fur headband, I always find it, a wee bit soggy, in her bed.....along with tea towels, pens and anything else we have stupidly left within her reach! Hope Fudge is coping ok with his medication........x

Aaaw thanks Valadel :-)
Yes Grandmage either holes or dog saliva over everything, uurgh, although he can't beat what our golden retriever did, whe'd just moved into our old house, didn't know the neighbour very well, Penny had a hole in the fence she used to go through to play with neighbours dog, and she took a pair of OH underpants, how embarassing when she brought those back, lol, always have to bring a pressy don't they.
Thanks Whistonlass now we're the other way always had dogs but never a cat, although we do have one now Symba and he's the boss, Fudge made us laugh last night Symba had had tuna for tea and just settled down for a sleep, must have smelt of tuna so Fudge decided to wash his face for him, until Symba got fed up and gave him a little slap, lol, no claws, life would be boring without them:-)
Lol Oliveoil, wow Las Vegas how lovely, somewhere I'd like to go mainly as a favourite group of mine come from there 'The Killers':-) although have just been to Leeds to see the lead singer, a surprise from Rob, great night, must have been scary waiting for them to come home, we had a similar thing earlier in the year, Suzanne was on holiday when the volcano erupted and stranded in Tenerife we were a nervous wreck till she came home, she was happy though had a free weeks holiday all expenses paid in a 4 star hotel, some weren't so lucky.
Thanks Hywell he's really well now, think he's even wilder than he was before, lol, even tried putting the tea towels over the oven door after it had been on with the door shut, thought that was even more fun game of tug as well, lol.
Thanks Tommymoo:-)
Lol Lulu yes the beds the place to find most missing things isn't it, Fudge was really crafty the other week though someone had stupidly left a bar of chocolate on the table we thought he'd eaten the wrapper as well, until a couple of days later when I moved the coffee table to hoover and underneath was a perfectly licked wrapper, must have been hiding the eviidence, lol.

Pleased his medication is working, bless him, i've got a kitten that keeps taking pens if she sees one its in her mouth and out the catflap she takes it.
4 Nov, 2010
There's no way of stoping him then lol
4 Nov, 2010
Yes it is a Lab thing, ours used to take anything they could get their teeth into and then bring it to you, lovely temperament, sorry to hear of the epilepsy, ours managed to avoid that problem, we never had a chocolate lab (love the name) only a yellow and a black, more tea towels on the Christmas list?

Had to laugh at your kitten Clarice, do you think she meets up with her mates to do a bit of colouring, lol, never heard of a kitten doing that, wonder where she puts them?
They do have a lovely temperament don't they DD not a nasty bone in their body, yes Fudge has had epilepsy all his life but only 1 or 2 fits a year, until the end of last year when they became more frequent, so he had to go on medication which until they got the dose right made him more ill than the fits, but thank goodness he's fine now and no fits for over 6 months:-)

Often see guide dogs that are labradors....and it must be their temperament that makes them ideal for the purpose. Such loving companions.
I laughed too when I read Clarice's kitten likes to nick pens. A very unique collector you have there, Clarice...lol

Oh yes I can relate to so many parts of this blog, teatowels, toeless socks, in fact anything I`m silly enough to leave around., I really do not know how Morgan can sleep with all the things we find in his bed.
Pleased his medicine is working for him, he looks healthy in your photo`s, and is enjoying attracting your attention, lol.......

He looks in fine fettle Simbad, Im glad to see, give him a hug and a tea towel from me lol!
7 Nov, 2010
I've seen your pictures of Morgan Lincslass, he's gorgeous, yes toeless socks here too, mainly because he pulls them off your feet, if your lucky he'll leave you toe behind, lol.
Lol Tetrarch, gone off tea towels, this morning its shoes, the girls'll never learn, seem to have quite a few pairs lying around this morning, daughters friends are staying over and they went out last night, been chasing him round trying to get someones 5inch glittery stiletto out his mouth. lol, teach them to put their things away, lol.
7 Nov, 2010

Lol Tetrarch, yep definitely good taste, amazing shoes, discovered this morning they were youngest daughters, she'd been shopping yesterday and went out while I was out,so hadn't got round to showing me, she's terrible for shoes and bags:-),I was just the same at her age.
