Cape Point Nature Reserve, Nov 2017.

Another day, another outing, to Cape Point. We stopped en route at Bolder Beach, to watch the Cape Penguins that come ashore here to breed.
The whole of Cape Point, which is at the end of a peninsula is now a Nature Reserve.
Some of the inhabitants of the reserve.
Salt Marsh Austrich?
The vegetation is all low growing, well suited to this environment which is lashed by the winds from the ocean, no substantial land till Antarctica.
The last of our trips around Cape Town before we took a flight to Hoedspruit for our safari adventures, but I actually blogged them first.

Looks quite bleak, but great to know it's a nature reserve. Looks like the monkey/ape approves as he could be waving the flag!
