Ok so you know how it is, nothing on tele sitting at the computer a bit bored thinking oh a couple of these shots dont look too bad, oh go on then might as well stick them in a blog

Snow can of cause be very disruptive but it certainly brightens up the winter. Fresh green leaves in Spring and the rich golden tints of Autumn have to be the best but Haw frost comes a close third.

think i would put it first heron! its that contrast with the sky that makes it so special, also because its rarer than the spring and autumn colours

cheers folks yes i agree only maybe 1 or 2 days a year when this is possible, and you need a bit of sun on it and to have a camera to hand

it's almost worth being cold for - never had anything quite so stunning during last winter's snowy periods, did we, its the hoar frost that's so beautiful on a sunny day.
