A Couple of alterations to the Garden and,

after dropping and breaking my camera I decided to try getting to grips with the new one.
The first two photos taken with my old camera show where the new greenhouse is going to be put. I removed the old bricks of the raised bed for later use.
The photo`s from now on are all taken with the new camera which I am slowly finding my way around.
So here we are with the greenhouse in-situ.
A couple of photo`s of the inside.
Right then what do we do with all the old bricks that we have, perhaps the best thing to do is make a better seating area for the table and chairs thats better than carting them of to the tip.
BEFORE,
and AFTER
I think they look a bit worn and my brick work leaves a lot to be desired but perhaps when I`ve got a bit more energy I can jet wash them.
Thought I`d throw in a photo of the Bergenia in the front garden its been there years but it seems to have flowered better than ever this year.
Hope like me your getting plenty of sunshine to do your gardening in.

Wow, haven't you been busy ! What a difference you have made to your garden Stroller. It looks really good.

Hi Stroller - did you concrete your bricks in your circle or just lay them on sand please ?

Lovely - I think your brickwork's fine (better than mine!!) and the pics with your new camera are great - very clear

That looks fantastic! Great use of the bricks! :)
Good luck with new camera :)

great use of recycling of bricks :o) I like that idea, it looks really good. well done on all your efforts including the camera work.

Your all very generous with your comments and it does make me feel good.
Herbgard I just layed them on sand then did a dry mix of 1 part cement and 3 sand and swept it between the bricks then fine sprayed with water left for half a day and fine watered again - seems to have done the trick.I left a few bricks out of the second layer to act as a step up (I`d run out of bricks anyway) so it seemed a good solution.
Paul, thats a good idea - shed paint - any particular make.

Well done Stroller the brick circles look excellent, and it is a great idea to leave bricks out to make a step up, enjoy your new seating area and your new camera;0)

Love the tiered circle. What good use for old bricks! And, I like the driftwood in the other pictures. It really blends with the garden. Enjoy your new greenhouse - and your new camera, Stroller.

New camera getting lots of use now :o)

Way to go Stroller, you`ve made a great job of that, I always think a weathered look is better than new and pristine, your seating area looks very welcoming.
Your greenhouse fits into its space perfectly, you do realise you`ll be completely hooked now , I know it doesn`t take long to fill them up as I can see you are already doing, you enjoy it.,
You`ve done well with your new camera, I shall expect lots of lovely pics whilst you practice...

Lovely photos Sandra, the seating area looks lovely, as does the rest of your garden. I can see that a lot of work has been done to achieve it. The Bergenias look really nice too, I look forward to mine looking as good. :o)

Thats looking really smart Stroller. I really like your wall to the right of your seating area too. I could just imagine a few nice alpines in those crevices if it were mine!

Well done, the brick circle is a work of art.

What a lovely change! I do like recycling!

I used Ronseal one coat Stroller - I wanted to build a wall but had no bricks - as I smashed some concrete up I found 40 bricks underneath (fate ah ) they were really old and the paint made them look brand new :))

Well done what a transformation looks lovely :))))

Wel with all yur comments I feel I`ve done the right thing.
Poppylover, I made the wall with old broken paving slabs, and latter in the year its almost covered with chocolate vine and hopefully this year with wisteria.
Paul at least you had the good luck of finding the bricks after the hard work.

Wow what a difference it looks brilliant! You put me to shame. I can really see the difference in your pics too Stroller, your new camera takes much clearer, sharper pics. What type is it and is it easy to use? :-)

Thanks BA, unfortunately I can`t say I like the new camera I find it quite heavy to handle, its a Panasonic Lumix FZ38, but then I was used to a pocket size digital.

Mines a tiny Finepix J20, very simple, but after seeing all the lovely photos on GOY I can see the difference in quality and as I'm going to need a new one soon I'm on the lookout for a replacement, but MUST be easy and uncomplicated and small:-)

What a fantastic transformation, it looks lovely. And your Bergenia is lovely, mine hasn't flowered this year :-(
