... but I received messages requesting a new quiz, so I've tried to come up with something different ... Lol...

Hi Tt, have been using my brain for a while amusing myself trying to solve your word search puzzle. I have managed to find 24 but am having a problem finding the remaining 2 ...the U and the X. think I may have to try again after I've given my brain a bit of a rest, as it's not quite as young as it used to be! It will probably turn out that these 2 are the easiest out of them all. I must say its been a good bit of fun after all the misery the white stuff has caused us all, so thanks |Tt for taking the trouble to entertain us . let you know IF and WHEN I find these other 2.

HELP!, I only have 1 more to find and that's the X....and it's now doing my head in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Find an X in the story and then google the letters which follow the X ... should give you a plant ... :o)

There was quite a lot of work in making the puzzle, and in checking the entries, but I enjoyed doing it, and I'm pleased you like it.

Some time in the future, I'll make a different type of garden puzzle. Previous years on my blogs I've made plant crosswords and quizzes, and garden photo puzzles. It's not easy to know which would be preferred ...

I looked back at the 3 garden puzzles I made for GoY in Dec.09... There were 18 likes for my Crossword, 11 likes for my quiz, and 13 likes for the snow photo puzzle ... so from those, it seems if I make another puzzle sometime, a crossword would be the most popular.

Sorry! I find I really miss having BOLD and ITALICS and UNDERLINE as well as smileys to choose from. Those little hearts and stars are cute. If you've cut and pasted them from GoY, where/ how did the previous user smuggle them in?

I like all sorts of puzzles - it's been a super-busy day if I don't manage to get on my favourite puzzle website (http://www.indigopuzzles.com/ipuz/) and complete a few Kakuros and Hashis. :-)
I'm less fond of word searches, as they're a bit mechanical though they're possibly easier. Crosswords, photo puzzle, quiz, all good. Variety is best of all! :-)

Yes, I agree with you that wordsearches can be mechanical... that's why I devised the above puzzle in a story format, rather than the usual grid ...
... also easier on the eyes !!!

As for puzzles I like, I think I have to be in the 'mood' to do sudokus, which usually involves being dead bored (work; long car ride). I adore logic puzzles generally, though!
I get a bit frustrated with crosswords... I think this comes from picking up my crossword book, seeing that Dad had filled some boxes for me and then having to go back and CORRECT HIS ANSWERS.
I also found your puzzle format very appealing. It was easy on the eyes....
