It's a bit like the Jack Russell my grandson bought me for Christmas, TT, and I keep that indoors. They look lovely sat next to the fireplace but I had to move mine because Millie throws herself and her toys around and I was worried it would be damaged :)

Maybe the paint will peel off too much outdoors...

The model dog has legs long enough that proportionally he looks, to me, more like the old-fashioned type of Smooth Fox Terrier ...
I'll have so see if he learns any more tricks than "sit-stay". Lol.

I can't even get mine to do that Terra...lie on the settee all day..they can certainly do that lol. As far as I know, they were bred from fox terriers originally and of course jr's come in all shapes and sizes now except for the parsons which are recognised by the KC. mine have quite long legs, they're not the short, Queen Anne legged type. There's an old wire haired fox terrier living near me who is rather fluffy as he doesn't get stripped. Hardly ever see fts now though and never the smooth, thank goodness for Truffle :-)

Johnjoe put a pic of a Smooth Fox Terrier on GoY the other day... "Stripes" with interesting black and white markings. :o)

Lovely blog....reminds me of the story about the Garden Gnome that disappeared from someone's garden once. For months the owners of the gnome received postcards from all over the world, then one day it suddenly reappeared in their front garden...as if nothing had ever happened! :-)
