Yesterday I made a blog with photos of my gardens …
so I didn’t forget those of you who don’t watch TV !

On 29th March I wrote a blog with television dates of the Big Allotment Challenge and The Beechgrove …
… but I’ve now found some more garden theme programmes.
Many of you have asked for these, so here goes …
All on BBC 4.
Sunday 6th April
10 pm ~ 11 pm Hidcote … a garden for all seasons.
Tuesday 8th April
9 pm ~ 10 pm British Gardens in Time.
New series, with Chris Beardshaw.
The first location is Great Dixter.
Thursday 10th April
8 pm ~ 9 pm Botany : A blooming history.
Timothy Walker explores how mankind developed its understanding of plants. Episode 1 of 3.

Thursday 10th April
9 pm ~ 10 pm Everyday Eden :
A potted history of the suburban garden.
Presenter : writer Michael Collins.

Let’s hope these BBC4 programmes are interesting.
I would have preferred to see them earlier in the evening.
This morning I watched The Beechgrove Garden …
… a super programme !

That's great thanks TT.
I've heard Timothy Walker talk several times before at my local HPS he is brilliant. He is currently the 'curator' [not his correct title] at the Oxford Botanical garden. He should well be worth a listen to.

Sbg - I think his correct title is 'Director', but I agree, his talks are excellent (and very entertaining)

Wonderful to have Beechgrove Garden back again !
I was surprised to see their raised beds flooded.
Thought mine were high at 11.5" - although they are
taking a lot of filling with Growbags and compost, but
am glad they are that height now.

So TIMELY!!! I opened your blog TT this evening at 8pm & saw the programmes you'd put on here for us & thought "I'm just in time to watch the two this evening!" So I put the TV on (1st evening in months possibly!) & have sat watching it for 2 hours! 2 hours less on the internet! 2 hours when I could have been making up my next blog on Amaryllis I promised a week ago! LOL!
The 1st one: "Botany : A blooming history!" I'd seen before - don't remember how long ago though!
The 2nd one: "Everyday Eden: A potted history of the suburban garden." being a new series I watched with interest, though it really had little to do with gardening - as practised, I mean. Interesting none the less.
Thanks for your timely blog once again! :-))

Thank you for letting us know. I will try to watch them, although the only television I watch is foreign news through satellite.
