Ah that explains why Truffle is sleeping then, he's conserving his energy ready to party, dreaming and hoping there will be a gingerbread man on the menu especially for him.

Conker is so good not to eat the biscuits before the party. ...Truffles keeping his head down evidently ?

I think Truffles has secretly eaten the legs off Gingerbread men nos 2 and 4! He has such an appealing face of anticipation.
In my teens , I could balance a dog treat on my Fox terrier's nose, wait, wait, then when I clapped my hands he would toss the treat in the air and catch it in his mouth. A clever dog, but with a naught streak if he thought you weren't looking.

Thanks Siris for reminding me of my first dog ... a Wire Haired Fox Terrier who could do the same trick as yours ... balance the biscuit and then catch it. Such great memories.
Perhaps Truffle has hidden some gingerbread feet under his coat ... maybe Pamg knitted special secret 'biscuit pockets' ?

Clever Truffles, none of our dogs could do that, they were all far too greedy lol good luck in the competition....

thanks for looking in ... my gardens have had a lot of rain this week .. such a contrast from weeks of drought back in the summer.

Thank you for so many lovely, kind responses to my blog. Very thoughtful words from so many. I really appreciate all the comments and 'likes'. Each day I'm feeling a little better, and, yes, my pets certainly are a tonic !
At this time of year, I'm sure most of your gardens are just like mine in that the deciduous leaves are falling fast. I hope to sweep up some of those this weekend, to clear the paths. Happy gardening, everyone.
I've entered some cat photos in the charity photo shows, on behalf of my 'stroke survivor' friend, so I especially hope she wins rosettes. I'll try to visit GoY more over these colder months, and I'll let you know if any of our photos get prizes. :o) x x x

Conker is such a good boy, that he did the gingerbread photo with no rehearsals ! Crocus is VERY excited about his birthday tomorrow.

Crocus very much enjoyed his birthday. All week here it has been raining, so no chance yet to sweep up the leaves.
