Brandon Marsh ’s. was opened by
David Attenbourgh to preserve our wild life here in Coventry. 20 years ago.
I hope you all enjoy going around the marshes for wild life and nature tour with us you have to be fast to catch photos of some of the wild life even a professional with camera and tripod could nt catch the Damsel fly lol.
The entrance fee Β£2.50 each the walk is around 90 minutes or longer depending where you go we missed out the meadows saving those for another day on a different route there are benches to sit and rest on the way round.
They have here bird watching huts disabled friendly they even supply disability scooters for the rougher areas the rest is wheel chair friendly. Schools as you can see venture here too. After your walk you can visit the cafe as well for a meal and pudding also a cup of tea coffee or pop. They have plays on too.

Thank you Linda it was a lovely day out cheap and just the other side of the city so time not wasted on traveling even though I love traveling. My ex boyfriend grand mother ran the farm next to this so it was nt new to me knowing about it its just the first time of visiting.
Thank you Steragram yes I thought so too. Yes it makes a change to being able to go around some where like this in the wheel chair the city has made the city and suburbs disabled friendly with drop curbs for wheel chairs and mainly the cities shopping area.

What a beautiful place to be able to visit. It has a sense of calm and tranquility.
A perfect setting for school children to learn about nature and wildlife - not enough of that happens in primary schools these days, such a shame.

That looks a wonderful place and interesting for children. Good that it's wheelchair friendly too.
Nice way to spend a sunny day :)

Thank you Janey glad you enjoyed it I think the children did as they were very lively eating their lunches on the picnic tale and benches under the veranda in the 6 photo down.
Thank you Widrose yes very calm and peaceful if it was nt so hot on the day we would of stayed longer. I have to agree with you there schools and parents not doing enough for children to get into nature and wild life.
Thank you Hywel yes the school children loved it not sure though which route they took as there is a shorter walk. Yes defiently makes a difference being able to go some where like this with a wheel chair. I wish I had worn my jeans in stead of a dress as my legs got bitten by mosquitos lol π x
Your very welcome Eirlys thank you for your comment and looking. I am pleased you enjoyed it.

Sorry to hear you got bit by mosquitos. They tend to go for some people. I always get bitten by them even in the garden. I use antihistamine cream if they get too bad. x

Thank you Hywel π It's all to do with what blood group you are Hywel why they go for some people and not others the most susceptible is type O and acidic and oily skin rather than type A or B blood groups acidic diets are more susceptible to cancer too alkaline diet is best.

Thanks that's interesting :) x

Thank you for the grand tour of Brandon Marsh βs. I love all the vistas and habitats along the way and the way you laid out the entire blog. I love listening to David Attenbourgh documentaries because of his passion for his subject matter, especially loved the one about carnivorous plants. How did you capture that dragon fly in mid flight? It's so clear like it was still. Did you see 'Twelfth Night'? I went to see that play at the Shakespeare Theater in Stratford Connecticut. It was a very lively & dynamic production. I'm prime target for mosquitos.

What a lovely place to visit and well done getting the dragonfly. Glad you had such a lovely day.

Yes David Attenborough does some fantastic programs I did watch the carnivorous plant one it was interesting.
Lol my grandson set my phone camera to what I aim at then I just followed it continuing clicking the camera and hoped for the best it was nt until after looking back on my photos I could see I captured it. My grandson captured a blue Damsel fly which the professional there could nt capture.
No I did nt see Twelfth Night Paul we went earlier of the date that was advertised my son said he will take me there again so I might get to see it again. While walking round you can watch light air craft doing acrobats as is close to our closed down air port thank goodness they are not loud as it would spoil the walk.
You must emmit an oily scent like me then Paul lol.

The mosquitos really make a meal out of me. Even if I wear long sleeves, they will still bite me through my clothes, and I get huge welts all over my body and have to take a bath in epsom salt.
I went to see 'The Twelfth Night' with my 8th grade class trip. We were studying Shakespeare anyway so it fit right in with our curriculum. Go see it if you get the opportunity. It will 'transport you to another place & time.'

I bet the mosquitos see you coming and say hey guys here's breakfast dinner and tea lol strange how they bite you through your clothes next time I ll wear armour thenπ and long boots.
I can see you enjoyed Shakespeare at school then and the play some thing I was never taught at school and have never seen one of his plays even though I Iive in the same county 27minutes ride away 19.5 miles away just up the Warwick by pass which you can get straight on to in Coventry . If I get the chance I shall watch it.

I hope you get the chance to see a Shakespeare play. It's such a treat - high drama done with a masterful use of the English language, period costumes & the music of that era. You become part of it - for a little while anyway.
