Astilbe moved.

My Astilbe had one branch sticking out from the others so I decided to seperate it it now instead of waiting till autumn.
When I lifted it out, the hole i’d left filled with water. It seems that when the neighbours laid new slabs they sloped them toward one of my borders. this area was always wet but recently I dug deep and improved drainage or so I thought.
So I removed the branch and potted it up.
Then put the parent plant into a container instead of back into the ground.
Khia is happy with the result.
She constantly follows me around the garden, watching my every move. Everything gets a sniff of approval.
Here is my first flower on the Phacelia tanacetifolia, or Purple tansy. the bee,s will love this.

Astilbes like damp soil, but it does look nice in the pot. I'm glad Khia approves :o)
