Gardening.

Just got into the house tonight at 10pm after being in the garden all day apart from a visit to the garden centre where I spent more than I should have, only went to have a look for a large trough for a couple of clematis but came home with 4 carrier bags of plants instead.
I could have stayed out in the garden but it’s starting to get dark now, how come there’s never enough time to do what you want? you just finish something then get an idea and off you go again.
For years i’ve always had loads of stupid hobbies,,lol.. like metal detecting , fishing, hillwalking etc, that involved me having to travel about all over the place,
When all the time i,ve had a garden sitting here wasting away ( 2 gardens even) and a great hobby staring me in the face.
Now I,ve got into gardening I can be out all day messing around with my plants and at the end of the night I can just step indoors and see the results of my labours. and have a nice garden too.
what a great hobby.. wish i,d discovered it before now, i’ve got the gardening bug.

People are always telling me I should go away for a 'day out' to get away from the stress of caring for my mother; but I always tell them I have everything I need for stress relief in my garden. I don't need to go anywhere. It's a great hobby.

Who needs to go anywhere else when you've got a garden, apart from the garden centre of course!
