Freebie Rockery Stones

These are the stones all loaded up for transport to our back garden. I am so chuffed with them. They’ll be so useful when we develop the garden (when the rain stops…lol).

My daughter got these on freecycle for us :)

Michaella....Freecycle is a community-based group. I think if you google Freecycle and the city or area you live in you should come up with something. No one sells anything it's just anything offered for free collection...so it can be most any items (including gardening) but also clothing, tools, furniture, books, appliances....

I even know of someone who got an old but usable caravan once via freecycle.
You can post things to re-cycle and respond to those offering articles. A great idea. Hope there's one group in your area, Michaella.

You have a nice lot there. I like their colour.
When I lived in the old cottage I had a sloping garden and made lots of rockeries. I took some chunks of limestone from the hills nearby - lol. I wouldn't do that now, but back then there wasn't the panic about the environment like there is today. Nice you could get these on freecycle. :o)

I've now got a 2nd lot of rockery stones and 3 smallish bags of slate chippings. It looks more and more like a lot of the revamp will be on hold until spring. Just getting the fencing sorted and maybe deciding on the layout for patio and other areas of the garden. Then....planting in spring.....roll on.....
