A bright day with bright colours in the garden.

It was good to feel the warmth of the sunshine today and I took a few pictures of areas of colour outside.
Oh AND I sat in a deck chair just looking at all the jobs waiting for me!
And finally a newly planted pot of saxifrage
The yellow one is Sherlock Holmes
The peachy one is Peach Melba
The pink one is Your Success.
I think we all feel so much better when the sun is shining! ☀️☀️☀️

Lots of pretty things ... very “you” !

Anget we can't grow aubretia either and have tried many times!!
Paul, yes there are true signs of Spring now and that 'bleak' look is becoming less so.
Yorkslass the forecast is not good is it? In fact it is wet down here for quite a few days!
Oh Sheila, how very kind of you! x

Lovely to have a it of sun & your garden is looking pretty. That Helebore variety is so pretty when you turn up the flowers. What a pity it is that one can only view it from above. I guess it needs to be hanging down from a high wall !

Sunshine makes all the difference, plants are beginning to show promise.

Feverfew how right you are! Perhaps I should grow it in a hanging basket instead! It is such a delicate, pretty one when looked at closely.
Siris, I do love April and May when everything really comes to life but sunny days like yesterday make a big difference.

So nice to see all those colours at this time of the year...

Lovely to see colourful Spring flowers again. I cannot do any gardening at the moment as we have garden fencing being replaced to two sides and down the side path. I really need to be 'grubbing around' outdoors for my sanity!!!

Your garden definitely looks like spring has come early Chris , It's been a beautiful sunny day we've been busy creating a seating area so haven't been able to sit and enjoy it ,we will when the sitting area is finished .. I've planted 8 Aubretia plants along one side fingers crossed they will grow in this garden ...

Have to agree with everyone, Chris, your garden is looking very colourful and definitely Spring arrived a little while ago for you. You’ve a really pretty array of colour. I don’t blame you for relaxing in a deckchair while you ponder the jobs ahead! I think it’s important to catch the sunshine when you can!

Mossy your garden is filled with beautiful, unusual colours.
Shirley the new fencing will look lovely when
it is finished and then you can get out there QUICK!!!

Amy that will look very pretty. I love aubretia and wish it would grow in our garden. Do put a photo on here when it is all in flower.
9 Mar, 2021
Oh yes Kate, so do I!!! I don't need asking twice!!!
9 Mar, 2021
Chris, the fencing guys have done an amazing job and were finished by 2pm today. Rain forecast for tomorrow but I shall be out there on the next dry day!
9 Mar, 2021
So pleased for you. Hoping that we have some dry weather soon.

Chris, pouring today, only 9 degrees so a total contrast to yesterday's warm and sunny weather.

It all looks so colourful W'rose, I'm glad you sat out in the sunshine yesterday because if you have the same as us today then you'll have been admiring though the windows...
I've just ordered Corylus for my youngest daughter, that is fourth pic down methinks, a birthday gift, if it looks as good as yours in a few years I think she will be pleased...

Shirley today the weather was awful and is going to be awful for three more days!
Lincslass, yes it is a Corylus and I like it a lot in the winter and in the spring when it is covered in catkins but it does not look as pretty when it is in full leaf.

Oh Chris, that's not good at all! We drove along to the seaside this morning and watched the very rough sea, waves crashing in, quite exhilarating!
10 Mar, 2021
Isn't it nice to see the spring flowers and you got to sit in the deck chair! I wish I was sat there with you Chris!
Our weather has been a bit hit and miss! I haven't had many days where I could sit out, but yours looks such a lovely sheltered garden.
Make the most of the good days !
I hope you have been keeping well! xxx

Rose it is not exactly sheltered at the moment as it is in the middle of 3/4 days of wild, windy, wet weather with plant pots being blown over and tall daffodils being flattened!!! But on nice days it can be very sheltered and warm!!!

Lovely to see so many spring flowers blooming right now!
It's a shame when we get some nice flowers a long comes the wind & blows them down again!
That reminds of the song "Poor ol' Michael Finnegan"! 😂 😂

Balcony I've been singing this ever since I read it, lol.....
There was an ole man called Michael Finnigan,
He grew whiskers on his chinagin,
Wind came out and blew them inagin,
Poor ole Michael Finnigan,
Beginagin.....

The same happened to me Lincslass! 😂 😂 😂

I've been drawn out by the sunny days, too, Rose. You have lots of lovely Spring flowers growing there. I like your new saxifrages. The peach one sounds different. I don't seem to have much luck with keeping the mossy types. I'm the only person in the UK who can't keep aubrieta going, either. Things are looking up, aren't they? A glimpse of happiness on the horizon!
