Daylilies can be plain and simple, or as complicated as you want. For something simple, I have today (Core Values x Don Herrell) x El Aventura. I was trying to put a nice toothy edge on the pod parent, but it dropped the eye and the teeth and resulted in this composite of yellows over a green throat:
For something with a bit more, I have Fuoco del Sole x Sad Sack. It has a rounder eye zone than the pod parent, but a very ruffled edge. The pollen parent has teeth. But it is a nice brick red and is 7" across, so it really stands out:
A nice tall one that is only 5" across is Creative Design x Neighborhood Watcher. I registered the pollen parent last year, and it is also a very tall one:
A feature of the next one is the lighter area just above the throat, but before the eye. The blushing eye part on the sepals doesn’t include the band of color the petals have. It is Crystal Blue Persuasion x Lady Neva:
With a very distinct throat is Fuoco del Sole x Spacecoast Sea Shells:
Eye zones can get complicated, and the first to show a nice pattern is Squirrel Beater x Spacecoast Sea Shells:
There are certain flowers that I tend to use a lot when making crosses, but they keep having interesting variations in the results, so you see Spacecoast Sea Shells being used frequently. To pursue something different in appliques, I am trying out Jungle Queen:
I really like the rings in the eye of this next one. It is Amethyst Island x Cat Scratch Fever:

Thanks. I have a friend who claims the yellow ones, like the first one, taste better. So now I have to watch out for rabbits and him munching in the garden.

I am using several that I got from you, a lot. Like Lines of Splendor and Magical Swirls. Tomorrow's Song is proving to be difficult, but I keep trying.
