Thorpe Perrow Arboretum and The Halloween Trail

Last year during the bluebell period my husband and myself with friends went to Thorpe Perrow for the day, I did put the photo’s on here and at the time we promised that we would return during the Autumn to see the change of seasons, due to me be pretty ill at the time we could not go, this weekend we had one of our daughters come to stay and we decided to go yesterday, we had a wonderful day out, and as you will see from my photo’s it was well worth going for, they also had The Halloween Trail on for the children which was great, " My husband joined in " so many happy kids, “He was one of them” it was lovely to see. the weather was great I am pleased to say, we all came home shattered but it was well worth it, Thorpe Perrow is in North yorkshire Nr. Bedale, it took us about an hour and a quarter to get there which isn’t to bad, I do hope you all enjoy my photo’s as I was determined to share our day out with you all.

These wonderful photos only confirm my belief that no where else can compete with the colours of an English countryside in autumn.
Will have to try and make a visit next year perhaps. I`ve only been to Yorkshire once that was to visit a little town called Richmond.

Hi Cristina, I would imagine they would do the Halloween theme every year, they aslo do bird displays there which is very intresting, and they have a little farm which is good, lots of meerkats also, Llamma, Kangaroos, etc etc

Cooked rats and eyeballs???? Yukkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!! Lol!!!
The other attractions sound good, too, though! :-))

David, cooked rats and eyeballs in curry sauce would be o.k. what do you think.!!

5 Nov, 2010

Ahhh!!! The curry sauce would make "all the difference", methinks!! A nice, spicy, "Rat"atouille, perhaps? Love watching "Bollywood" movies, too. If watching online, they are real i "Bolls", too!!!! - :-)))

Yorkshire, the autumn colours are amazing, its the time of year I enjoy most, love the changing colours, nothing to beat acers for their colour.
Fab photos. Of course the added interst for kids is wonderful to get them out and about into countryside. There's a kid in all of us who enjoys this.

Been to Yorkshire a few times in the last 5 years but missed this place! And such fun for the children..amazing and beautifully thought out, bet they had the time of their lives!

But oh, the colours!! Was sorry to hear about you being unwell YS, but it turned out for the best..such a wonderful walk. Its on my list for next time I visit and it will be autumn!

My grannie's forebears came from around Richmond and Leyburn, tho I didnt know it last time I went there. Will be returning tho to explore more closely.
