New Semperviren pot..

I have had a small pot of Semperviren’s for about 3/4 years, to me they seem such delicate little things and the flowers are so beautifull, but tiny. A couple of weeks ago i decided to start another new (Smallish pot) of them up as they are hardier than i originally thought.

After seeing Dottydaisy pics of her semp pots and troughs im even more hooked now lol. Here’s a couple of pics to show you my new obsession, I hope you like them..

Pics arent very bright, its dull and wet out there!

This is my Brunnera, Jack Frost, a great plant for shade and underplanting.. Putting these pics up to show members who i have had a conversation with about this plant :))

I like the gravel contrast on the pots realy finishes them of nicely.
It may be dull and wet but they are beautifully colourful!

How do you keep your hostas looking so lovely. I've had to resort to lambs wool pellets or standing them in the pond to save mine.

Thanks Hollyeves and sandygirl, lovely comments.
I think these hostas are resistant Sandygirl, they are very thick leave'd, my thinner light green leaf one's in the bed opposite have been chewed to bits :( even with using pellets.
Lambswool pellets! Ive never heard of them, do they work?

That pot looks stunning and your hosta is lovely :) I found a couple of leaves on my new one had been munched but I caught the little devil today and covered him with salt! Nasty little things.

I like the sempervivums. I used to have them growing out of the walls in the other house. They look nice in your pot with the gravell around them :)

Yes, they do look good with the gravel - and the Lewisia too - very pretty combination!

Congratulations on a great job YDD, I love the contrast of those turquoise stones. The acer, hosta and Jack Frost look such a classy combination. I treated myself to a new Brunnera this year called "Mr Morse" not unlike Jack Frost.

you seem to have a great artistic touch with both your plant choice and planting style, well inspirational. you also inspired me to try canna's again, really like the look of them, but the frost beat me last year, still awaiting to see if the root has any will to survive.but seeing your pics made me to bite the bullet and dash off to b+q. But i felt cheated, no offer in our shop, but the plants were there, think i'll just wiat an see, spent a fortune this year already lol.

Thanks Kev for your lovely comment, shame the B&Q offer wasn't on, Doesen't seem so bad when you get 3for2 offers, I lost my canna's 2 years ago, they were overwintered in the greenhouse!!!! If the offer hadn't of been on, I wouldn't of bought them, i to have spent a fortune this year :)
