Love the rag doll Gee, you clever lady. I am sure you wont shout at Millie, how could you resist that face!

I've had Millie for about 18 months now, Grandmage, and have never been cross with her although she has done some naughty things (like 'eating' two paper back books, page by page and spreading them all over the living room floor!) I must admit I was dismayed rather than cross in this case because time was running out - I can really see the funny side of it now. I know my granddaughter will find it funny especially as the doll has a 'lick, lick' stain under the replacement arm, but no BO thank goodness :)

A great blog Gee The doll is so cute I love it , I remember knitting one in a similar style and shape for my Daughter when she was little the clothes were knitted as well and the hair took me ages I think the pattern came from one of those woman's own magazines , I'm sure Milly would like one for Christmas , she looks so sorry :o)

There's nothing for it, you'll have to make another one for Millie ;o))

I agree with Hyewl go on make her one Poor Millie she looks so sad :((

23 Dec, 2011

I agree with Hywel. Millie is a treasure and I'm glad she has been forgiven. You are very nimble fingered, what a lucky family to have you. Maybe make Millies in something a bit stronger. Have a lovely Christmas.

Seems like all the sympathy is for Millie :). You're right, Scotsgran, she is a treasure and, rest assured Hywel and Cmsue, she has several stronger soft toys (carefully selected for safety from the Charity shops!) all wrapped and ready for Christmas. Happy Christmas to all of you :)

Well done in spite of a little accident, it looks great I am sure your granddaughter will be delighted....

Wow that rag doll is brilliant, (despite the little accident - great emergency surgery by the way, are your sure your not a doctor lol). I bet your granddaughter loved it. Naughty Millie, running off with dolly like that. I'm sure she was just trying to help though. Did Millie like her Christmas pressies?

I'm a bit late onthe end of this thread Gee. You have a vocation as a surgeon /dressmaker the old fella came home from 3 weeks in hospital and sabotaged the mouse, as he can't use it well with his droopy right hand!Slowed it down.... I don't need any Milly's to do mischief. I can't correct anything,as everytime I go anywhere a dialogue box pops up inviting me to do delete/undo/ restore pops up. OF survived the fall downstairs and Ihave the left foot in plaster as a souvenire and the dreaded trauma clinic looming. At least a friend helped me with my compost box at long last....full to the top and the bottom already compost!!!!!!

What a clever Goyer you are Gee! No idea how you do this sort of blog, let alone making a fantastic rag doll, she's so cute. I don't believe any dog with such an innocent expression could ever do something naughty, are you sure you don't have Gremlins? :-)

Come to think of it Gee....Millie amputated the right arm very neatly. She shouldn't be bored, as you take her for walks all the time. Never kept a dog, only three cats, one after the other, over about 30 years. I'm glad we don't keep an animal now, of any kind, in our present situation. Of course I understand what huge pleasure many Goyers have with their pets of various kinds.

Thank you, all, for your comments. My granddaughter loved the doll and enjoyed the story of Millie making her almost 'armless'. Yes, Dorjac, Millie did a very neat job - I was so relieved that the body was undamaged or I would have had to start again! So pleased your OH came home from Hospital and that you have had some help. Hope you both feel better very, very soon.
