All looking really lovely in your garden Gee, enhanced by all the new paint work for spring, your bargain pots are going to provide a jolly time at the GC I guess! :o)

Your garden is looking wonderful. Hard to believe it was flooded earlier on. A wee lick of paint has made a huge difference to the bird feeder. I love your new pots what a bargain.

Amazing how your garden has flourished Gee after the floods and the revamp. I noticed your erysimums have grown tall and colourful too.Lovely little blackbird so early too. Birds less active in my garden due to 3 cats that know one another! One of them looks just like the one that croons to the budgie! He sits there sighing over the pretty calico cat....thinking 'if only'.

You will have a great time choosing plants for all those pots, you sure got a bargain there Gee and well done with the painting, I love the tortoise and men all fresh looking and birdtable is very much appreciated...
Yes I agree considering what happened earlier its hard to believe all the planting has survived and flourishing so well..
Smashing blog and as usual brought a smile at the way you've written it with the pics and captions.....

I hope the birds appreciate all your efforts in painting their feeder.
Your garden is very pretty and I like your pots. You must show us what you plant in them ...

Thank you all for your kind comments. I am amazed at how much has survived the floods, plants I had given up on have suddenly reappeared.
I think my bamboo will be moved into the big pot. It has been squashed for some time now so deserves a better home.
I'm not sure if I should cut back the erysimiums now, they have flowered all winter and are huge. Should I tidy them? Will they flower again?

This is so lovely and just made me smile the whole way through.
What a beautiful garden you have to enjoy (when you put the paintbrush away!!)
Thank you.

Mine are huge as well Gee, I nip them off with the secateurs and they keep flowering for me, when they go woody and leggy and I know they have finished flowering for a while I will then cut them low down to the ground, however I never remove the root unless it shows no signs of coming back and has obviously died, some of them have been in for years.. I also take cuttings from the stems that I remove by just shoving them in the ground...

Thank you for that Sue - I was planning to ask if they could be cut back.
18 May, 2015
Thanks for that, I will trim them back one at a time so I don't lose all the colour at the same time :)

Its all so pretty I bet you never want to go indoors! You've got some lovely contrasts of shades and shapes. How hard is it to guess you'll be off to the garden centre asap to fill those lovely pots? I love the huge one especially - so many options! let us know what you choose!
Your birds obviously approve of all the painting too.
