Hello Brian
Lovely selection of pics.
Prof. Einstein is eye-catching, isn't he !

Such a great variety what a lovely garden you have I like Prof Einstein too, also Snipe, Anemonella, Trillium Pusilium and the last one.

Goodness! How lovely! Your shrubs are really wonderful Brian...well, everything is of course, but they look particularly spectacular! I am still waiting for the first of the dwarf rhodies to open up its buds. I think the first one will be blue, the second white. After that, who knows! It's raining here just now though so there won't be much opening up today. Just love the vib. carlesii. I'm missing mine from the old place now I've seen yours! I'll have to get another and find somewhere to plant it!

Thrupennybit
Narcissus is' Clipper' that one appeals to me.

Karen put the view looking South in so you could see the garden from the other direction, garden ends where the conker tree is in the distance.

I can see it Brian, what a beautiful tree. :O) but you have got a big garden to carry it lol :O) I am nearly as bad as I have a Christmas tree that started off as a 3ft little weedling and it is so tall now - it is really impressive and my garden is not as long as yours. lol. I had no idea it would get this big. lol.

Bye the way, I have posted pictures of my (the ones you sent me) double Cellandines, they are a picture and the Anemone is on its way also. Thank you :O)

Plenty of pinks and purples. Very nice to see all those lovely flowers.

Thanks Brian, I did notice the southern view. I was thinking....sigh...Brian's garden is almost a park...or a 'botanic garden' its so lovely and big, and a different view around every tree or shrub. Gorgeous!

Your garden looks very mature Brain all those lovely big shrubs and trees I like the Trillium Pusillium very nice !

7 Apr, 2014

This is truly scrumptious. It would be impossible to guess your garden is almost vertical with that lovely flat space at the foot.

What a park of a garden you must have, Brian! The Magnolia Stellata looks fabulous. I know of one biggish one here but it is no comparison to yours! These trees are much rarer than the common Magnolia. I even know of a few purple Magnolias though the poor things are only weedy little trees! :-(( Perhaps they need a more acid soil than the other two.

From the plants you have shown us I'd say you have fairly acid soil in your garden.

Yes neutral to Acid we have coal under us though none is mined now.
I have two deep purple one's that are later and still in bud

10 Apr, 2014

I thought it was something like that! The purple ones here flower at the same time as the other Magnolias though M.stellata is earlier most years but this year it has been caught almost immediately by the others.

Beautiful Bjs. I love that South view with blooming magnolia.
