You may remember me painting two of them last year,in a cream Masonry paint..just to let you see what they look like this year..
This year it’s Petunia’s,and Pelargoniums, and there is the old faithful Bacopa in there somewhere, which refuses to give up the ghost after three years :o)

You can just about see the Bacopa in this one….

Don’t strain to look for it in this pot, there isn’t any :o)

A small border ,with Hebe ‘Silver Dollar’ ,I think .It turns a lovely .colour in winter.but it’s never had the tiny white flowers it is supposed to have in summer….flanked by two Sedum “Purple Emperor’s”,and pink Begonia Semps..

The two Dianthus either side at the front are called ,‘Slap and tickle’ ! Lol..they have finished flowering now,but they have been so pretty..I saw more buds today :o)

Thanks for looking,at another one of my small gardens :o)

What a great idea to paint your pots. Garden and pots looking lovely

ha ha,Karen..and you know how long I've had it ,don't you? I was ruthless with it this year, and just saved two small pieces.in each pot :o) let's see if it lasts another three years ! :o)

They look lovely, the Sedums and the Begonias compliment each other so well and the Dianthus is delightful.
The pots look terrific and it's amazing what survived the winter last year, I have Begonias, Pelargoniums, Petunias and some sort of basket bell flower which all came back in the garden. One of the pots produced loads of seedlings of the cigar plant and the Dahlias which I forgot to dig up are quite happy.

Thanks Jen..They were stone ones, which I've had for years, and they have been painted,Blue,Green, and now this :o) It's what my OH uses to paint the outdoor window ledges with,so I thought..mmm,why not try it :o)..

They look gorgeous - pink always looks great in containers doesn't it. Do you remember sending me a piece of that lovely sedum? I now have two plants and one is huge - thank you again.

Thank you Honeysuckle,I do like them together too..I love Begonia semps, and had one border full of them last year..We were so lucky with the mild winter we had, lets hope it's another similar next year..All my Pelargoniums survived too,but I did overwinter them indoors..I think here in Yorkshire, they might not have made it outside..

Thank you Stera,it was my pleasure :o) ..I love pinks and purples..and I'm so pleased the Sedum is dong well for you..both of them ! That's great ...

Sandra, every time I see Bacopa I think of you!

9 Aug, 2016

Lol,I could think of worse things to be remembered by ,so I shall take that as a compliment ! :o) x

I love the cream colour you have painted those pots ... the perfect foil for the plants. You certainly got value for money with that Bacopa! :o)

9 Aug, 2016

Thanks Shirley..did you see my blog last year, when I was painting them ? Let me tell you, that Bacopa cost me all of £1.. for two of them, from the market :o) x

9 Aug, 2016

Yes , I remember the paint job! Those Bacopa were your bargain of the year ... :o)

9 Aug, 2016

Can't beat the local markets, for good value plants,Shirley,in fact I find they do as good, if not better, than ones from the Garden centres sometimes...

9 Aug, 2016

Great colour pots Sandra, and I love the colour combinations planted in them!

9 Aug, 2016

Thank you Sheila.I thought the pots would lend themselves to any colour of plants, with being fairly neutral ..:o)

9 Aug, 2016

All looking lovely Sandra :o) the pots look so pretty in pink, love the Purple Emperor Sedum such an attractive bed :o)

9 Aug, 2016

Love your pots full of flower....can't beat a pelargonium ...

10 Aug, 2016

Thank you Neena..glad you like the plants and the colour scheme ...I'm pleased with all of them, this year :o) xx

10 Aug, 2016

Thanks Sandra..so easy care ,aren't they? and they don't mind in the least, being neglected at times....which mine often are ! ..

10 Aug, 2016

Plants that thrive on neglect are my forte Sandra ?

10 Aug, 2016

Well done bloomer, your pots look fantastic, I am going to paint mine, any tips? thank you.

10 Aug, 2016

Very pretty Sandra :o) I think pots add something to a garden. Your painted ones look lovely :o) x

10 Aug, 2016

Super pots, Bloomer. I think they are a wonderful addition to a garden - I know I couldn't do without mine.

10 Aug, 2016

Thanks Callie..You go for it,it's nice to have a change..I'm not sure what tips I can give you,but if you click on my blogs, and scroll back to April 2015,you will see a blog called Garden Makeover.,with some photo's...I used left over Textured Masonry paint, but they are only sold in big tins,so unless you intend to do the whole street ? ..lol.Have a look at the 'Garden shade' range,as you can get 1 litre tins ,which is more than enough..The Range, and B & Q stock well known makes ,as well as their own..you may need two coats, depending on the surface you want to cover,or the colour they are now..I hope this helps, and good luck..:o)

10 Aug, 2016

Thank you Hywel..I have given some pots away this year,as I have decided to cut back on them now..The more you have, the more you want to fill, and I'm finding less is easier. Also ,not having to rack my brains deciding what to fill them with ! I'm more than happy with the ones I still have..:o) x

10 Aug, 2016

Thanks Melchi.so do I....I think I am going to paint the central green one too,as it looks odd between the other two..I do like the cream colour best..:o)

10 Aug, 2016

Your pots look a treat Sandra a good choice of colour, lovely to see more photos of your garden too, is the sedum in full sun? and does it stay that dark all year?

10 Aug, 2016

Thanks Angela..All my Sedums are in full sun..as I hardly have any shady areas....one,to be exact !
The photo with the Dianthus ,was taken a couple of weeks before the one of that border as a whole.so if you notice on the next to last photo,,it's slightly pinker than the one at the other side..it's shaded very slightly by the Hebe..Yes,the foliage stays dark all the time, till it dies down in winter..and re emerges in spring..I leave the flowers on as long as possible ...x

Those pots have have remained extremely clean Sandra I'm sure in my garden they would be muddy all round by now , they look very pretty still full of colour x

11 Aug, 2016

Thank you for the advice I will check out b & q for the smaller tin,and have a look at your other blog ,best wishes.

11 Aug, 2016

Lol Amy,and thank you....maybe as they are stood by the wall, and sheltered by the soffits, beneath the guttering, they don't get so dirty, and they are on the drive,so no soil nearby..I haven't washed them..honestly ! Russell might have, when he washes the car..I know nothing ! :o) x

11 Aug, 2016

My pleasure,Callie..I hope you find something you like, and suitable for your pots ..:o)

11 Aug, 2016

I love the colours of flowersyou have chosen for your very pretty pots? The petunias have done so well. Perhaps the hebe will get its flowers a little bit late?
All looks lovely Sandra.

11 Aug, 2016

Thanks Sandra for the info...

11 Aug, 2016
