Got these on 31st december.
Today 10days on blue doing really well, and smells beautiful, as for red not done nothing ,but still looking very healthy.

They have such a gorgeous smell don't they clarice? Its good that they are coming out at different times really, they'll last longer that way, or it will seem so.
Last year one of my daughters had a big bunch of blue ones sent to me from M & S, in one of those tough plastic things with water in. They looked really lovely but had no scent at all. I've heard that some commercial growers now breed the scent out of them to make them last longer. Their fragrance is the main thing about them surely.

i love the smell they have, its lovely, i think mrs MB is right on the colour thing and growth, im sure ive read about that at one time, very nice carol ;o))

Thanks for telling me that, later in the year i will be putting bulbs in garden. but the smell is beautiful.

They are lovely Carol they have such a lovely heady perfume it fills the room I love them but haven't bought any this year - yet!

hyacinths that have no perfume... what is the point? I mean yes they are a very pretty flower but without the scent...

I've never had any without sent as thats what i get them for, plus it cheers the house up abit at this time of year.

I love them Carole and always put the bulbs out in the garden when they have finished flowering and have died down , we have quite a few in the garden in the spring .....

I love the flower and the scent. but prefer the flowers when popped in the garden for the following year and the flower is less blousy.

Thanks Hywel how you doing, our snow whats left is just ice with water on it, as its been raining all night and this morning, but we are suppose to stay above freezing all week so fingers crossed it will soon be gone.

It's thawing here too Hurrah !! but only slowly. There are still snow flakes comng down but only very light and not staying. Oh I have had really enough . I feel worn out by it, but by next week it will have gon :o))

I've given up on the prepared bulbs now but always found the blue did far better than the other colours. I assumed it was because naturally they are blue and the reds and pinks are cultivars but I could well be wrong.
