On 3rd 0f Jan it was a lovely crisps sunny day, so i got my seeds out that i could grow in January

and this morning went to have a look at them and look at them, all that horrible bad weather we’ve had and these little babies have grown so well, did have cardboard and seed tray covers on them, but now will just leave the covers on them, these have made my day.

Cucumbers

Tomatoes.
Think they’ve done really well.

It's lovely to see the new little shoots appearing. Well done Clarice, and you have been busy, and as you say they raise your spirits on these grey winter days!

Woohoo! Doesn't it lift the spirits to see new growth? I have been wondering whether to sow any of mine and after seeing yours I shall go and make a start!

This has made me want to get started again - it is supposed to be getting warmer over the weekend (and wet) so I might get the chance to get sowing :)

I'm feeling the urge to plant some seeds as well but with all the cold weather we have been having I've no place to put any seed trays. I guess I will have to wait another month.

I am looking forward to seeing their progress ... :)
You know when I first had to live alone, I missed terribly having someone to show these sort of things to. Then GOY came along, it is a wonderful place, isn't it. :)

I live on my own aswell, find only time i sometimes get stuck is when i need some man power, other than that i'm fine :o)))

16 Jan, 2010

I always have my neighbor Jimmy who will come and help with heavy things if need be. He is a 60 year old man with a mind of a 15 yr old I think..he is sweet and always wants to help. Sometimes when I don't want help too..lol..
I have GF that I visit with on web cam on a regular basis, so I do have that special someone to show things to and discuss life with and joke with. GOY brought me that blessing too... :)

16 Jan, 2010

Good for you, i have got a friend who will do my heavy jobs for me but find he's alright in small does'es he is one of them that thinks he knows everything :o)))
