Oh wow..it is just absolutely beautiful Dawn. So beautiful! Is that Cornus ‘Miss Satomi’? I had one in my first garden and tried to move it to my last place, but it perished. It is one of my favourite plants. I hav eC. Florida here, but it is really struggling to break bud at the moment. I’ve been feeding it and given it loads of love, but it doesn’t seem to want to grow. Disappointing. Perhaps all this rain will help though.

Your garden is looking lovely Dawn. The wooded area with the bluebells is fabulous.

Thanks Alan, Hywel, Lori.
Karen, thank you. It's Cornus is X Rutgersensis 'Stellar Pink' a hybrid cross of C Florida and C kousa. Not so many bracts this year though. Yes lovely trees, I'm waiting anxiously for my new one to flower, so exciting, Cornus Venus! Still raining here but we needed it!
Just going back to the Cornus, my controversa variegata doesn't look too hot, think it got tinged with frost

Karen, did you see the new bark path through the big border, got that idea from you :-)

Hi Meadow, thank you. Yes mine got tinged too, turns the leaves to brown crisps doesn't it

Wow stunning Dawn :-))

Absolutely gorgeous, and so tidy.

It looks stunning and so full and well advanced. Not many spaces there to pop another plant in. You must have your own little micro-climate from the sheltering trees.

It all looks stunning Dawn , Yes I remember the Actinidia K .hasn't it done well ? it looks fabulous, I brought a cutting with me it's coming along nicely I hope it looks like your another year , it's a memory for me as my aunt gave it to me as a gift on her visit from Australia many years ago ....
I love the Cornus its beautiful .

Thanks Day lily.
Thanks Siris, tidy? Not so when you're close up!
Honey, The trees do protect against frost but unfortunately no micro climate here, I'm in frost pocket.
Thanks Amy, I've never been able to get a cutting going, please tell me again how to do one :-)

Lovely to have drenching rain, and your garden is a picture! It’s obviously planted with much love . . . x
Cornus are great when they’re doing well: I love my Eddies White Wonder but only eleven bracts so far this year.

You've got it cracked Amy, thank you, I remember the Ford garage man going off with one from you :)

A treat for the eyes. Your flower beds are exquisite.

Dawn, regarding taking Actinidia cuttings, your plant, which by the way, is coming along beautifully. My small 8" Amy plant was broken down by a cat/rat ? at the split of two stems, I trimmed up the broken-off bit, stuck it a pot, and now it's growing better than the original. Thinking of planting it out soon in a cat free zone.

Dawn you have an amazing memory fancy you remembering that Ford garage man Lol ..
Well done Sue ,funny I've never had a problem with cats attacking any of mine , Just unlucky I suppose ,its good to hear your new piece is growing well :o)

That's amazing Siris, I'm going to try in September. Our cat likes rubbing against ours.
