I thought you might like to see some of the scarecrows that are in the town of Battle at the moment which is a very small market town In East Sussex UK. The final picture is of Battle Abbey built after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The Battle took place near by on Senlac Hill.

Lol at Heron`s comment! Aren`t they good? Some people have so much imagination Drc. We visited Battle Abbey when our children were very small and I remember what a lovely place it was. :o)

They certainly made me look twice Heron. Battle wont have changed since you saw it LB though it does have a small supermarket and a very small market square now. Its a lovely area to live, I am in a village about 5 miles away

They are all brilliant. A village close to me did this last weekend combined with open gardens, it seems to have become very popular :-)))
