Holly Blue with Clematis alpina Willy (Clematis alpina (Alpina Group clematis))

On a rare sunny afternoon, this Holly blue was really enjoying the warm, it made me laugh as every time I focused it turned its back to me!

Ha Paul......you need to take your butterfly training treats in the garden with you...:))
Thanks Amy and San, not sure spring is on the way anymore Amy, it's so cold and wet, sure we had spring and summer in March....:(((
Keep on looking Carol, they do love Ivy too, especially if it's in the sun.....I think were more north than you up here in Lincs, usually colder I think.....
Thanks Carol an Annella, the colours are pretty together aren't they.....:)

Lovely little clematis and a do gooder too. I have a blue one similar but don't know the name. I'm rubbish with names of plants.

Spring certainly isn't here yet - very heavy rain and strong winds. This morning I was trying to coax Millie into the garden, opened the back door just as a duck overshot the runway (path!) and landed on the back door step. Not sure who was most surprised, Millie, duck or me. Millie ran back to bed and hasn't moved since! If Spring reaches you first please nudge it this way :)

I used to have a blue one at my old house Linda...the one I would like too is Frances Rives...the alpinas are my faves...:o) Hope Dusty is keeping warm!

Here its just the same Gee, lol that made me laugh about the duck, I could just see it...maybe it fancied Millies basket too! Took Lottie fora paddle (walk) this morning and this is the first time she has danced on her back legs to have her doggy mac on....normally she hates it! Nice warm bath for her this afternoon, I hope her fur stops growing soon, she'll soon look like Dougal from the magic roundabout...Lol! Taken on board the spring thing, might just have to keep it for a few days first though...:o)))

That's a great shot of such a small butterfly! They see me coming & I rarely get the chance to take a photo even when I find a rare one on the Butterfly Bush! (Buddleia)
