Spring shoots.

Took a few snaps of things starting to show some shoots and some new growth.
It’s been mild and sunny, albeit a passing torrential downpour yesterday. Its lovely to get out there, pop on some gardening gloves, grab a trowel, some secateurs, and enjoy the spring air.
I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s up to date cheery blogs and seeing all the pretty colour and the gardens starting to come to life again.

I agree its a wonderful time, very rewarding to go into the gardens, see all the new growth, spring flowers appearing, something new opening every day, even better and very satisfying to actually spend time tending to ones garden, even if its only a short time for whatever reason, its good for both body and soul.
With all the work that went on last year you'll enjoy tending to it, hubby can also relax...Unless ??? he already has plans for more construction, I couldn't resist adding that as I remember you saying he enjoys that part of it.... LOL... Lovely photographs Kate ...

Aw, thank you, Sue! Lovely message, it's really kind of you.๐ค
It's has us all feeling cheerful and eager, the signs of spring in full flow! You're so right, Sue, even if we're only out pottering or mooching in the garden, it's definitely a wonderful form of therapy!
Thanks for adding the last bit, it made OH smile. His cogs are now going, top speed!
He does want to redo the raised railway sleeper bed. It's a square shape, he built years ago. It's starting to decay in places. So, watch this space ๐๐ x

Aw thank you, Sheila, that's really kind of you to say. I think as it's a small garden front and back, it's easy to tend. I can swing a cat, just about! ๐
But, not my cat!

I'm with you Kate, as it is one of my favourite jobs this time of year!
You have a lot of new shoots too which is wonderful to see.
It definitely makes you feel good! I wake up to sunny mornings and by the time I am able to go in the garden to work, the wind gets up and it rains!

Thank you, Rose, I'm happy you like the blog. It's definitely that time now we are all itching to be out in the garden, isn't it!
I'm sorry that the weather changes when you get outside, but, you're right - lovely sunny mornings and we seem to cloud over and rain appears by lunchtime or later in the day..
Hopefully April will bring us finer weather ๐ค
