Eclipse ..

Nearly late picking up my grandchildren, see the reason below..
At this point I noticed because I was taking the shots through the window I had what looks like a crescent moon, no good and was spoiling my shots. Now one had to do some quick thinking, the windows open only one side which was making things a bit frustrating, however I was determined, after climbing onto my ottaman I was able to carry on..
I had to get in a very iffy position over and around the window but I think it was worth it..

Certainly worth getting in an iffy position ... these are lovely photos ... we had heavy cloud until about 9.30am with no chance of seeing it. : o ))))

Thank you for showing these photos. I find it very exciting.
We've had rain all day and could not see anything.
I'm glad you didn't fall out of the window lol

Wonderful pictures Linc, all that happened here was that it became much darker though the sky had a pinky hue.

Wow, well done you. My hubby told me it was about to happen, so jumped out of bed, put coat over dressing gown and wellies onto bare feet and saw nothing!!! I took a few pics of the sun rising but then it was obscured by cloud, pity! Great to see your photos, thanks.

To be honest with all of you, I usually miss the sunrise since retiring 3yrs back, I had to be up early yesterday as my daughter was back at work at the school but the chidren still had another day off, I had to run so as she wasn`t late for work, I`m pleased to say both myself and the ottaman have lived to see another day...lol.

Sorry for thant Lin, I got it off you tube, there are lots on there they say they are caused through chem trails where they add chemicles to it spreading deadly deseases to spray on us all, in the usa they have captured some and prosicuted the goverment over illnesses when it s been dropped on the people in certain areas, its also on you tube in the Germany News how they do it to, to alter the weather by the military.

Oh I thought it was sun set lol Bornagain that will teach me not to read, hehe, well done in capturing it Lin did nt realise it was the eclipse sorry, it was the redness of the sky I was meaning.

You managed to get some great shots there, Lincs! :-)) Here the was low, hazy cloud. I was able to see the sun, glimpsing at it from time to time over 1/2h. Between the clouds & the tree branches I couldn't make out anything & eventually gave up looking. I did notice it seemed darker than it should have but just couldn't get a decent look at the sun.
The rising sun shines into our bedroom windows & a small window in our living room. I looked through the living room window but, other than black spots before my eyes, didn't see the eclipse.
I wasn't able to see the meteors either because the sky was covered in clouds.

Beautiful pictures Lincslass....Well done........... :-)

Fantastic pictures!! We had heavy cloud and saw nothing. My son-in-law came over and crawled around the attic looking for my son's telescope, rushed 20miles back home and set it up in his garden only to find close-ups of clouds. I will show him your pictures as compensation. lol
