A very good day with lovely Birthday Gifts..

My birthday today and have to say my family never have a problem buying for me, I received new ear phones and a bag of compost plus a promise of new shoes from hubby,( going to a wedding soon and don`t know what colour and style I need yet) lol… Youngest daughter bought a beautiful photo frame with a new photo of my grandchildren and gave me money for plants, so I now have wall baskets replanted with Geraniums, Verbena and Lobelia.
Enough for two baskets although only one on pic, six Dahlia`s, planted in border at the front all in bud so hopefully pics to follow soon and a gorgeous Clematis..
The President says on the label that it flowers from spring through until the autumn, I have planted it up the trellis at the edge of the pond garden..
Its a solar light so gotta keep an eye out after dark to have a look, I think he`s lovely, my grandson was very proud of the fact that he had chosen the robin for nannie`s garden and says its to go near my pond,I have placed him on a bird tray above the pond so Brynner doesn`t pinch him…

Xmas gift 2009 and hubby has only just hung it up for me,(bless his cotton socks) Clock/Barometer, he even remembered to insert new batteries, lol.. It cannot go on the house above the patio as it gets too hot and my last barometer was ruined so hoping it will be ok there, plus we can see it from patio and down the garden, no excuse for not Knowing the time now…
Now I am relaxing with a glass of wine and my Maltesers, I`ve had a smashing day……

Just logged on in time to say Happy Birhday to you! Love your gifts, the manger baskets & the Dahlias will look lovely before too long, and the Clem. is a favourite of mine. Usually get two or three flushes of blooms, sadly mine has given up, old age I guess! Love the pottery items too. Hope you had a lovely, relaxing birthday. : o ))
